Getting there
Everyone arrives the same way — on a ferry across the Great South Bay.
By ferry
The towns of Ocean Beach, Seaview, and Ocean Bay Park are accessible only by passenger ferry.
Ferries run with Fire Island Ferries from Bay Shore, Long Island, and the crossing takes about 30 minutes.
There are two terminals in Bay Shore, a short way apart on the same street. Which one you want depends on where you are staying.

Timetables change with the season, and the 2027 schedule is not out yet — the links above always show the current one. We will flag the right boats for our weekend once they are published.
Once you are there
There are no cars on Fire Island. You walk, or you cycle, and everything moves at the pace of a boardwalk.
The three villages — Ocean Beach, Seaview, and Ocean Bay Park — run along the same stretch of shore, so where you stay does not lock you out of anything. Water taxis can be scheduled between Ocean Bay Park, Seaview and Ocean Beach, and are arranged on request.
A bike makes the weekend easier, especially after dark.
Bikes are provided if you are staying with them.
